About the role

Global HR Operations payroll team at Ramboll ensures accurate, compliant payroll for its Nordic workforce. The Payroll Specialist will own end-to-end monthly payroll cycles for Sweden and Norway, handling calculations, statutory compliance, reconciliations, and complex employee cases while partnering with HR, Finance, and vendors. Based in Gurugram/Noida, India with a hybrid work model, the role offers exposure to international payroll standards and process automation initiatives.

What you’ll do

  • Own end‑to‑end monthly payroll for Sweden and Norway
  • Validate payroll inputs/outputs against contracts and legislation
  • Perform detailed reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Resolve complex payroll cases and retroactive adjustments
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and Rewards to address payroll queries
  • Maintain payroll calendars, controls, and compliance records
  • Drive payroll process improvements and automation
  • Govern vendor performance and ensure data accuracy

What you’ll bring

  • 6+ years payroll processing experience in Sweden and Norway
  • Strong knowledge of Swedish and Norwegian payroll legislation and taxation
  • Experience with collective bargaining agreements
  • Proficiency with Workday HRIS and payroll systems
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills
  • Experience managing third‑party payroll vendors
  • Ability to investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Experience improving payroll controls and documentation
