About the role
Nike's Cloud Platform Engineering team seeks a Software Engineer III to build and govern Nike's multi-cloud ecosystem, delivering enterprise cloud infrastructure to support the business and athletes. Day-to-day work splits between leading by example to design, develop, operate, and integrate cloud infrastructure solutions, and driving organizational technical priorities, engineering best practices, and translating business problems into technical solutions. This is a full-time, remote role based in Karnataka, India.
What you’ll do
- Build platform solutions for managing and governing Nike's multi-cloud ecosystem.
- Serve as one of the primary technical leaders on one of Nike's emerging cloud technology platforms.
- Spend roughly half of the week leading by example to design, develop, operate, and integrate Nike's Cloud Infra Engineering solutions and integrate with partner platforms and applications.

- Minimum 4-7 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on cloud infrastructure engineering in a multi-cloud ecosystem, including architecture, deployment, and management of enterprise cl
- Extensive hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (AWS most preferred).
- Knowledge of distributed systems is a must-have.
- Extensive hands-on experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure platforms using Kubernetes, Control Plane architecture, Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs), and auto-scaling of
- Experience building observability solutions using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Cortex, or Thanos.
- Strong hands-on programming skills in languages such as Python, GoLang, Java, or JavaScript.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a junior team of cloud engineers, and excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Crossplane experience would be a good to have.
- Experience with implementing and integrating AI, Machine Learning, GenAI, and related data solutions with exposure to A2A and MCP protocols preferred.
