Lab Technician

About the role

onsemi's Lab Technician in Bangalore, Karnataka, India supports Senior Technicians and the Test & Tune Manager in board bring-up activities and shipment packing. Day-to-day work includes testing and tuning headboards, demo boards, adapter boards, and use-case demo platforms; following documented procedures and weekly plans; ensuring builds meet ON Semiconductor quality specifications; implementing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) for board rework; assisting the Lab Manager with lab maintenance and raw material inventory; supporting daily lab operations, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance; and packing shipments. The role is based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

What you’ll do

• Support the testing and tuning of headboards, demo boards, adapter boards, and use-case demo platforms.
• Deliver demo board testing and tuning activities in accordance with documented procedures and weekly plans.
• Ensure demo board builds meet ON Semiconductor quality specifications.
• Read, understand, and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) related to board rework.
• Assist the Lab Manager in maintaining the laboratory and managing raw material inventory.
• Support daily lab operations, equipment maintenance, and compliance with laboratory safety requirements.
• Assist with packing and preparing shipments as required.

What you’ll bring

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Quick learner with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of PCB and PCA assembly process flows; board assembly knowledge is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience with board bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting.
