Lab Technician II, Electrical

About the role

MTC Lab at Weatherford International focuses on delivering high‑quality electrical testing and validation for oil‑field equipment. The Lab Technician II conducts EMI/EMC compliance testing, electrical safety assessments, and PCB assembly, generating detailed test plans and reports while maintaining calibration records. Works on‑site in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, following ISO/IEC 17025 standards and HSSE protocols.

What you’ll do

• Conduct EMI/EMC compliance testing per international standards
• Perform electrical safety tests and verify grounding/earthing
• Prepare and execute test plans, procedures, and detailed reports
• Analyze test data, perform root cause analysis, and troubleshoot failures
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment
• Assemble, solder, and rework PCBs, identifying defects
• Support prototype assembly, debugging, and functional testing
• Maintain HSSE and laboratory safety documentation

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering
• 3-4 years experience in EMI/EMC testing
• Proficiency in electrical safety testing (insulation resistance, leakage current)
• Hands‑on PCB soldering and rework (SMT & through‑hole)
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory standards
• Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power analyzers
• Ability to create test plans and detailed reports
• Knowledge of ESD handling procedures
