Lead Cloud Software Engineer

About the role

Product Platform Team at Coupa builds the enterprise cloud platform that powers self‑service and efficiency for internal customers across Cloud Operations, Engineering, Customer Success & Support, and Customer Value Management. The Lead Cloud Software Engineer architects automation for container environments, drives migration of monolithic Ruby on Rails apps to EKS/AKS, and designs AWS platform solutions while mentoring junior staff. Remote, Pune, India.

What you’ll do

• Architect automation for container environments and lead microservice transition to EKS/AKS
• Facilitate migration of monolithic Ruby on Rails applications to containerized infrastructure
• Evaluate and design emerging tools and methodologies
• Develop and refine cloud platform architecture and delivery mechanisms
• Engineer advanced tools using Terraform, Ruby, YAML, and scripting languages
• Design AWS platform solutions in collaboration with architecture teams
• Ensure high service observability for AWS‑hosted applications
• Mentor and coach junior resources

What you’ll bring

• 6-8 years Cloud Operations/SRE experience
• Hands‑on with AWS, Azure or GCP
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Proficiency in Ruby, Python or similar scripting
• Design and migration of containerized workloads on EKS/AKS
• Develop automation with YAML and scripting languages
• Implement observability with New Relic or similar
• Mentor and coach junior engineers
