Design Engineer (Mechanical)

About the role

Quest Global is an engineering services provider with over 25 years of experience, bringing together technologies and industries to solve engineering problems faster. As a Design Engineer (Mechanical) based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, you will develop and detail engineering drawings and designs using Creo for sheet metal or casting components. Day-to-day work includes interpreting and creating drawings to standards, applying GD&T and welding design principles, and communicating effectively with team members and customers. This is a contract role.

What you’ll do

• Develop and detail engineering drawings/designs using Creo for sheet metal or casting components
• Interpret and create engineering drawings in compliance with standards
• Apply GD&T and welding design principles in drawings/design activities
• Communicate effectively with team members, work group members, and customers

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Creo (Sheet Metal or Casting Modeling & Detailing)
• Working knowledge of GD&T and welding concepts
• Understanding of manufacturing and engineering drawings
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, work group, and customers
• Ability to develop and detail engineering drawings/designs using Creo for sheet metal or casting components
• Ability to interpret and create engineering drawings in compliance with standards
• Ability to apply GD&T and welding design principles in drawings/design activities

Nice to have

• Experience with Teamcenter
• Experience with Vis Mockup
