About the role
Phoenix, SarvaGram’s platform engineering squad, builds the shared backend infrastructure that powers 12 product squads. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll design and maintain IAM/RBAC and AI SDKs, API gateway, service mesh, and event bus services, ensuring high reliability and developer experience. The role is based in Pune, India, on-site with a focus on platform quality and AI‑augmented development.
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain shared backend services
- Own IAM/RBAC and AI SDK implementations
- Design event bus patterns
- Implement API gateway and service mesh
- Write SDK documentation
- Ensure code quality and reliability
- Mentor junior engineers
- Participate in cross‑squad technical discussions
