People and Culture Head

About the role

People & Culture team at Fam, India's fast‑growing fintech, drives the employee experience and builds high‑performing tech, product and design teams. The Head partners with leaders to shape people strategy, design scalable HR processes, and influence org design, succession planning and workforce forecasting. Based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, this on‑site role works closely with founders and business leaders to scale culture and talent for the next growth phase.

What you’ll do

• Partner with business leaders to anticipate org needs and talent risks
• Drive talent acquisition for tech, product and design functions
• Influence org design, succession planning and workforce strategy
• Build scalable employee lifecycle processes and policies
• Coach leaders on performance and team effectiveness
• Collaborate with People Ops and Legal to shape people infrastructure
• Provide headcount planning and hiring forecasts with finance

What you’ll bring

• Hands‑on experience building high‑functioning tech, product and design teams
• HRBP experience partnering on org structure, retention and comp planning
• Empathy and business acumen linking people decisions to outcomes
• Strategic mindset for long‑term talent planning
• Strong network in the talent ecosystem
• Team player managing a minimum of 5 direct reports
• Experience with Keka, Lever, Google Sheets, Equitylist
