Senior WordPress Developer

About the role

A partner company seeks a Senior WordPress Developer to build and optimize high-quality digital experiences. The role involves custom architecture, theme/plugin development, and production management in a remote setting based in India. You will translate designs into responsive websites while ensuring performance and security standards are met.

What you’ll do

• Develop, customize, maintain, and optimize advanced WordPress websites, themes, and plugins
• Independently manage live and production WordPress environments for reliability and security
• Own WordPress architecture and contribute to technical decisions on scalability and standards
• Translate UI designs and wireframes into responsive, functional WordPress websites
• Build solutions using PHP, WordPress Core, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and MySQL
• Diagnose, debug, and resolve technical issues using browser developer tools
• Implement and maintain solutions using page builders like Elementor and WPBakery
• Support performance optimization, caching, and security improvements

What you’ll bring

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in WordPress development
• Advanced knowledge of PHP and WordPress Core
• Proven experience developing custom themes and plugins
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and MySQL
• Experience converting design files into responsive websites
• Hands-on experience with Elementor and/or WPBakery
• Familiarity with Git and modern version-control practices
• Exposure to AWS or other cloud environments
