About the role

Rack Lifecycle Team within AWS Infrastructure Operations builds and maintains the physical infrastructure that powers AWS cloud services. The role installs, cables, tests, documents, and decommissions racks in data centers, ensuring compliance with SOPs and safety standards while updating CMDB records. Mumbai, India, on-site work model.

What you’ll do

• Execute rack installations and structured cabling per AWS standards
• Perform OTDR and power testing and document results
• Maintain accurate CMDB/DCIM records and as‑built documentation
• Handle material receipt, staging, and inventory tracking
• Support decommission activities including device wipe and asset recovery
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams and communicate task status
• Participate in daily stand‑ups and safety trainings

What you’ll bring

• 2+ years data center operations
• 2+ years computer hardware repair
• 1+ years network cabling/fiber optics
• Experience with OTDR and power testing
• Familiarity with rack decommissioning and media destruction
• Knowledge of EHS and LOTO procedures
• Ability to use Boost, MARS workflow tools
