Sr QA Engineer

About the role

Senior QA Engineer at Nokia’s Optical Networking team, responsible for designing and driving test strategies and automation for Optical DWDM equipment and key protocols such as OTN, GBE, and DWDM, with a strong focus on system security. The role involves both manual and automated testing, enabling continuous execution and faster release cycles while improving overall product reliability. Based in India with a hybrid work model, the engineer collaborates across cross‑functional teams to ensure quality at scale.

What you’ll do

• Review system and product requirements to create comprehensive test plans
• Verify complex system features and functionality in carrier‑grade products
• Develop cross‑functional feature test scripts
• Design, maintain, and execute automated test frameworks
• Partner with system engineering and design teams
• Provide detailed test execution reports and defect analysis
• Deliver independent quality insights and assessments

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years testing optical network systems
• Hands‑on testing SONET/SDH/OTN/DWDM
• Experience with ROADM and optical amplifier line cards
• Proficiency in Python/Perl scripting
• Use of test equipment like OSA
