About the role

Senior Software Engineer – Data (License Team) at Sonatype is a full‑time hybrid role based in Hyderabad. The position blends data engineering, microservices, and full‑stack development to power analytics, machine learning, and advanced search across the company’s data platform. You’ll design and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, develop Java/Python microservices with React front‑ends, and deploy them to AWS ECS/Fargate via CI/CD. The role also involves optimizing SQL and NoSQL data models, implementing web scraping and real‑time streaming pipelines with Kafka and Flink, and applying ML techniques for predictive modeling. You’ll ensure observability, monitoring, and documentation using Mermaid diagrams. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, strong Python/Scala/Java skills, and expertise in distributed data systems, CI/CD, and AWS.
