Senior Software Engineer - Java Full Stack

About the role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its technology organization in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will lead moderately complex initiatives, design and build full-stack Java solutions, and contribute to large-scale technical strategy. You will code, test, debug, and document projects, resolve complex technical challenges, and mentor less experienced staff while collaborating with peers and managers. The position focuses on delivering technology domain solutions, including upgrades and deployments, within a regulated, risk-aware environment.

What you’ll do

• Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
• Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
• Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
• Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
• Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

What you’ll bring

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
• Proficiency with Java v17, Spring Boot, and Microservices
• Experience with Cloud and OpenShift Kubernetes
• Front-end skills in ReactJS or Angular, HTML, and CSS
• Ability to lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
• Ability to design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs, including upgrades and deployments
• Ability to resolve moderately complex technical challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
• Ability to collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
