Full Stack Software Engineer

About the role

Weir is a global leader in mining technology for a sustainable future, helping customers extract resources more efficiently and sustainably. As a Full Stack Software Engineer based in Bangalore (with a Malmo location also listed), you will design, develop, test, and deploy backend services, frontend applications, and integrations, with daily hands-on coding in .NET/ASP.NET Core, Node.js, React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS. You will also contribute about 20% of your time to a low-code digital twin and application platform, lead frontend development (~40% of the role), provide technical leadership, and collaborate in an agile environment. The role is hybrid and may require some international travel.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy backend services, frontend applications, and integrations with a strong focus on maintainability, performance, security, and usability.
• Perform hands-on coding primarily in .NET / ASP.NET Core, Node.js, React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS to deliver secure, scalable, and production-ready software.
• Contribute about 20% of time to development within a low-code digital twin and application platform (such as XMPRO), including solution configuration, application logic, and integration of custom comp
• Lead frontend development (approximately 40% of the role) using React and Next.js or similar frameworks, building user-friendly, consistent, and maintainable UI components.
• Provide technical leadership through hands-on development, mentoring team members, and fostering a culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous learning.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including product owners, DevOps, QA, and other engineers in an agile environment to refine requirements and deliver high-quality software.
• Support modern release practices such as feature flags, blue-green deployments, and production readiness, working with containerized applications and cloud-hosted environments.

What you’ll bring

• Excellent hands-on experience in full stack software development with expertise in .NET / ASP.NET Core, Node.js, React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS.
• Proven ability to develop backend APIs, frontend components, and integrations in collaborative, agile teams.
• Experience or exposure to low-code or configurable application platforms such as XMPRO, Grafana, Tableau, or PI Vision, with a strong willingness and ability to learn new tools quickly.
• Excellent communication skills to clearly explain technical concepts and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement and flexibility for non-standard hours due to the global nature of the role.
• Willingness to travel internationally depending on current guidelines.
