About the role

Software Engineer (Java Full Stack Developer) at GlobalFoundries develops and maintains automation software for semiconductor manufacturing. Builds full‑stack applications, designs and implements solutions, maintains existing systems, provides second‑level support, mentors teammates, and continuously learns new technologies.

What you’ll do

• Build & support full-stack apps in manufacturing locations
• Analyze, design, implement automation software solutions
• Maintain & improve existing factory automation software
• Provide second-level support for team applications
• Continuously learn leading software technologies
• Mentor team members on competency areas

What you’ll bring

• BS 5-6 yrs OR MS 3-4 yrs OR PhD 1-2 yrs
• Programming skills in Java, C#
• SQL and relational database knowledge
• Basic scripting in TCL, Perl, Python
• Fluent English, international teamwork
• Analytical thinking, complex systems
• Enthusiasm for software + factory automation

Nice to have

• Proficient Java 8+; Java/J2EE, REST, SOAP, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Hibernate/JPA
• Front-end ReactJS, TypeScript, Angular
• DevOps tools, contribute to devOps team
• Source code & docs in Bitbucket, GitHub
• Linux command knowledge
• Manufacturing domain & ERP solutions
• Application server configuration knowledge
