About the role

Axis Bank seeks a Head of Technology Risk & Info Sec Governance in Mumbai to oversee the organization's technology risk framework and information security governance. The role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating cyber and tech risks while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements from bodies like RBI and CERT-In. This senior leadership position requires managing audit interactions, reporting to senior management, and leading a team of professionals.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and implement comprehensive technology risk management framework
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize technology risks across the organization
  • Ensure compliance tracking and submission of returns to regulators (RBI, CERT-In, etc.)
  • Handle regulatory, compliance, and audit interactions including RBI inspections
  • Lead and mentor a team of technology risk professionals
  • Monitor compliance risk dashboards and flag concerns to department head
  • Act as infosec SPOC for Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and FRP
  • Formulate responses to RAR observations and design new processes/controls

What you’ll bring

  • 15-20 years experience in operational/technology risk management, cybersecurity, and compliance
  • MBA from a reputed institution
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards

Nice to have

  • Certifications around information security
  • Experience in financial services or related industry
  • Knowledge of operational, technology, and cyber security risk management frameworks
  • Familiarity with cloud computing, data privacy, and emerging technologies
