About the role

Physical Design team at Graphcore, part of the silicon design group building AI superchips, focuses on creating high‑quality RTL and final chip layouts for advanced nodes. The Senior Physical Design Engineer will use state‑of‑the‑art EDA tools and Graphcore flows to deliver sign‑off‑ready designs, debug complex issues, and improve methodologies. What you’ll do

Develop and deliver sign‑off quality chip layouts using Graphcore flows
Debug and resolve complex physical design issues
Enhance and optimize EDA tools and methodologies
Collaborate with architecture, packaging, and product engineering teams

What you’ll bring

Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
3+ years industry experience
Proficiency in Tcl and Python scripting

Nice to have

Experience with 7nm or smaller technologies
Knowledge of physical design flows: floorplanning, synthesis, place and route, timing analysis, verification
