About the role

Intel Design Engineering team builds world‑class silicon solutions for high‑performance, energy‑efficient products. As a Senior Physical Design Engineer you will lead end‑to‑end physical design of custom IP and SoC, executing synthesis, place‑and‑route, timing analysis and verification while collaborating across cross‑functional groups to optimize power, area and performance. Based in Bangalore, India, hybrid work model with on‑site and remote days.

What you’ll do

Execute end‑to‑end physical design flow
Perform synthesis, place‑and‑route, and timing closure
Analyze verification results and resolve violations
Optimize power, area, and frequency trade‑offs
Develop and enhance design methodologies
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams

What you’ll bring

8+ years physical design experience
Proficiency with Innovus and synthesis tools
Expertise in power planning and clock tree synthesis
Experience with AI/ML enabled EDA tools
Strong scripting in Python, Perl, TCL

Nice to have

DFT physical design implementation experience
Advanced floor planning and macro placement
Strong problem‑solving and collaboration skills
Commitment to design methodology innovation
