About the role

Data Engineering team at Credit Acceptance builds scalable data platforms and pipelines that power the company’s finance operations. The Senior Manager leads a group of data engineers to design, develop, and maintain batch and streaming data solutions, collaborates with product, analytics, and business partners, and drives technical strategy and delivery excellence. Remote, India, full-time, with regular overlap with U.S. business hours.

What you’ll do

• Lead and coach a team of data engineers, providing direction and career growth
• Own end-to-end delivery of data pipelines and platform capabilities
• Provide architectural guidance and ensure engineering standards
• Translate business strategy into technical priorities and execution plans
• Partner with product, analytics, and business teams to align delivery
• Champion coding standards, testing, CI/CD, and observability
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in data engineering processes
• Manage stakeholder communication and risk mitigation

What you’ll bring

• 6+ years software engineering experience with data platforms
• 6+ years people leadership managing engineering teams
• Expertise in data lake and lakehouse architectures
• Experience with batch and streaming pipeline development
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, PySpark
• Knowledge of cloud data platforms and distributed systems
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale data solutions
• Agile team leadership
