About the role

AWS Infrastructure Supply Chain Automation team builds the software systems that orchestrate AWS's global data center supply chain, ensuring equipment is in the right place at the right time. As Senior Manager, Software Development you will lead multiple engineering teams, define technical strategy, and drive operational excellence while coaching managers and senior engineers. Bengaluru, India, on-site role with hybrid collaboration as needed.

What you’ll do

• Lead and develop multiple software development teams, including managing engineering managers
• Define and execute long‑term technical strategy and resource planning
• Establish operational excellence mechanisms such as monitoring and incident response
• Partner with principal engineers and cross‑functional stakeholders on architectural decisions
• Coach managers and senior engineers through one‑on‑ones and growth plans
• Facilitate cross‑team collaboration and strategic planning for multi‑year roadmaps

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years of engineering experience
• 5+ years of engineering team management experience
• 10+ years of designing, developing, and delivering consumer software
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams
• Experience managing multiple concurrent programs in an Agile environment
• Experience designing large‑scale, high‑traffic applications
