About the role
HBK seeks an IT Architect Modern Workplace to design enterprise architecture for end-user computing and collaboration platforms. The role drives roadmaps for Microsoft 365, Intune, and AI-powered tools while establishing governance for Zero Trust and responsible AI use. This remote position is open to candidates in Spain, Portugal, or India.
What you’ll do
- Design and maintain the enterprise architecture for the Modern Workplace domain, including endpoint management, collaboration platforms and identity/access integration
- Define and drive the roadmap for Microsoft 365, Intune/Endpoint Manager, Windows 11, Apple Business Manager, Manage Engine Endpoint Central, Soti MDM and related client technologies
- Define the architecture and rollout strategy for AI-powered workplace tools including licensing, data governance and security considerations
- Establish architecture standards, reference designs and governance guidelines for device management, application deployment and Zero Trust/Conditional Access policies
- Evaluate emerging AI capabilities in endpoint and device management and assess their fit for the organization
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure and service management teams to ensure alignment across the broader IT architecture
- Support and guide technical teams during implementation, acting as a design authority and escalation point for architectural decisions
- Act as a stakeholder-facing advisor, translating business requirements into technical architecture decisions
What you’ll bring
- 7+ years experience in IT architecture or senior engineering roles focused on end-user computing / Modern Workplace technologies
- Strong expertise with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager and Windows 11 client management
- Solid understanding of identity and access management concepts (Azure AD/Entra ID, Conditional Access, Zero Trust principles)
- Experience with device lifecycle management (Autopilot, provisioning, patch management)
- Familiarity with collaboration and productivity tools (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) from an architectural perspective
- Ability to produce clear architecture documentation and communicate technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with VDI and Digital Workspace platforms (Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, VMware Horizon)
- Fluent in English (business level)
