About the role
Cloud Engineering team at Larsen & Toubro builds and operates multi-tenant cloud platforms integrating compute, storage, virtualization and backup. The Cloud System Engineer designs, deploys, and manages enterprise servers, storage arrays, hypervisors and backup solutions, automates provisioning with Ansible/Terraform, and ensures performance, security and SLA compliance. Chennai office, on-site work model.
What you’ll do
- Deploy, configure and manage enterprise‑grade servers and storage systems
- Provision and lifecycle‑manage Linux/Windows OS and virtual machines
- Implement and maintain hypervisor clusters, HA and resource scheduling
- Design, configure and monitor backup policies and DR strategies
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and orchestration via IaC tools
- Monitor performance, capacity and health metrics across compute, storage and network
- Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks and SOPs
- Participate in incident response, RCA and change management processes
What you’ll bring
- 5-12 years of cloud infrastructure experience
- BE/B-Tech in Computer Science or Electronics & Communication
- Hands‑on with Dell/HPE/PowerScale storage platforms
- Proficiency with VMware, KVM or Hyper‑V hypervisors
- Experience designing backup solutions using Commvault or Veeam
- Automation using Ansible, Terraform or Python
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows Server OS
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerization
