About the role

Johnson Controls Presales Engineering team drives solution development for chiller systems, delivering optimal technical designs from pre‑tender to project handover. The Senior Application Engineer II provides end‑to‑end pre‑sales support, collaborates with account managers and global product teams, and mentors junior staff on value engineering and basis‑of‑design activities. Based in Mumbai, on‑site work model with occasional regional travel across APAC.

What you’ll do

• Own enterprise account technical support for chiller pre‑sales
• Develop optimized techno‑commercial solutions and special quotes
• Create basis‑of‑design specifications aligned with project needs
• Collaborate with regional sales and global product teams across APAC
• Mentor and coach team members to enhance technical skills
• Support field product management by identifying gaps and recommending new features

What you’ll bring

• BE/ME Mechanical or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years chiller product selection experience
• Strong knowledge of screw, scroll & centrifugal chillers
• Understanding of large refrigeration systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Leadership and people‑management skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proficient problem‑solving abilities
