About the role
Target’s global in-house technology team seeks a Lead Technical Program Manager to anchor high-impact initiatives across Cloud & Compute platforms. Based in Bangalore, India, this role drives large-scale infrastructure modernization, virtualization strategy, and cloud adoption through cross-functional leadership. The position focuses on translating technical strategy into executable plans for enterprise-scale programs.
What you’ll do
- Define and drive execution of large-scale Cloud & Compute and virtualization programs
- Partner with engineering teams to deliver virtualization platform evolution and infrastructure modernization
- Coordinate complex workload migration programs across data centers and cloud platforms
- Align product and platform roadmaps to support business growth and operational excellence
- Develop integrated delivery plans, dependency maps, and executive reporting mechanisms
- Lead technical planning, risk management, and issue resolution across multiple organizations
- Facilitate architecture reviews and operational readiness assessments
- Establish program governance, define success metrics, and improve delivery mechanisms
What you’ll bring
- 4-year degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience in technical program management, software, or infrastructure engineering
- 3+ years leading large-scale cross-functional technology programs
- Strong experience operating in Agile delivery environments
- Proven skills managing highly complex technical initiatives
- Experience leading infrastructure, cloud, or platform modernization programs
- Strong understanding of virtualization technologies and cloud computing concepts
- Ability to manage executive stakeholders and drive organizational alignment
Nice to have
- Experience with enterprise virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere, OpenShift Virtualization, or Nutanix
- Experience leading cloud transformation initiatives across public and private clouds
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, automation frameworks, and SRE practices
- Experience supporting large-scale retail or enterprise infrastructure environments
- Track record delivering infrastructure modernization programs with measurable business impact
