Principal QA Software Engineer, Solution Test Engineer

About the role

Engineering team at Extreme Networks builds high‑performance data‑center and 5G networking solutions. The Principal QA Software Engineer designs, develops and executes manual and automated test plans for L2/L3, IP Fabric and EVPN/VXLAN protocols, creating Python and Golang frameworks and supporting CI/CD pipelines. Works hybrid in Bangalore, collaborating with engineering, QA and product teams to ensure robust solution validation.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop test plans and cases for complex networking solutions
• Automate regression, functional and performance test suites using Python and Golang
• Perform manual and exploratory testing of new features
• Analyze logs, packet captures and system behavior to debug issues
• Support CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing strategy
• Collaborate with engineering, QA and product teams for high‑quality releases

• 13+ years experience
• Python programming
• Golang (preferred)
• Data center networking (Leaf‑Spine, IP Fabric)
• BGP, EVPN, VXLAN protocols
• 5G network validation
