Technical Product Owner

About the role

ZEISS India seeks a Technical Product Owner in Bangalore to drive product vision and backlog management for medical technology solutions. The role involves requirement engineering, UX design collaboration, and ensuring regulatory compliance within Agile frameworks. This full-time position requires extensive experience in software development and product ownership.

What you’ll do

• Lead end-to-end requirement engineering and translate needs into testable specifications
• Develop, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog with acceptance criteria
• Create and review UX mockups, wireframes, and screen flows
• Ensure compliance with IEC 62304, ISO 13485, and data privacy regulations
• Act as liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams
• Identify opportunities to integrate AI capabilities into the product roadmap
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and drive data-driven decision-making
• Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts across global teams

What you’ll bring

• 10–12 years of experience in software development or product engineering
• Minimum 3–5 years in Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Technical Product Owner roles
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science engineering or related field
• Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum/SAFe frameworks
• Strong requirement engineering and documentation skills

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated environments (IEC 62304, ISO 13485)
• Exposure to AI/ML-driven product features
• IREB CPRE or CSPO/SAFe PO/PM certification
• Background in Medical devices or Optometry/Ophthalmology
