About the role

Supply Chain Management team at Linxon focuses on procuring civil and subcontract services for high‑voltage substation and offshore wind projects. The Senior Strategic Sourcing Engineer drives tender and project sourcing, negotiates contracts, manages RFQs via SAP Ariba, and maintains cost databases to meet budget and stakeholder goals. Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, on‑site role with frequent travel as needed.

What you’ll do

• Execute strategic sourcing and procurement for civil/subcontracts
• Identify and onboard new subcontractors per SCM procedures
• Coordinate with Tendering and Project execution teams
• Issue RFQs and negotiate prices, terms, and conditions
• Maintain raw material price database and cost estimate templates
• Prepare price comparison tables and total cost overviews
• Negotiate and prepare subcontract agreements with approvals

What you’ll bring

• 10-15 years civil engineering experience
• Knowledge of 11kV‑400kV transmission/subdistribution subcontracting
• SAP Ariba procurement platform
• Oracle ERP system
• Stakeholder coordination across tender and project teams
• Implementation of new processes/tools and mentorship
• Experience in high‑pressure, project‑driven environments
• Effective communication at all levels
