About the role

M&G India, the strategic innovation and digital hub for M&G, seeks a Manager - Business Solution in Mumbai to drive operational excellence. The role executes hands-on system configurations for client onboarding, fund launches, and custody setups while ensuring accuracy and compliance. You will coordinate with external providers, resolve exceptions, and support process improvements within a hybrid work model.

What you’ll do

• Execute hands-on operational set-ups in M&G systems for new client mandates, fund launches, and account openings
• Coordinate custody account and market specific opening, including derivatives setups
• Liaise with external custodians, administrators, and brokers to provide necessary data and documentation
• Respond to and resolve operational queries and exceptions related to set-ups
• Maintain detailed, auditable records of set-up activities in line with internal controls
• Collaborate with peers to produce checklists, templates, and runbooks
• Support post-implementation checks to confirm operationalisation
• Provide on-the-job guidance to junior colleagues on system configuration standards

What you’ll bring

• 3-5 years’ relevant experience in fund operations, client onboarding, custody or related investment operations roles
• Hands-on system configuration experience
• Degree or equivalent qualification in finance, business or a related discipline, or relevant professional experience

Nice to have

• Practical experience performing operational set-ups across fund structures, custody arrangements, market/instrument configurations
• Basic understanding of fund structures (UCITS, AIFs, OEICs, SICAVs)
• Experience interfacing with custodians, administrators or third-party providers
• Strong attention to detail and demonstrable track record of accuracy
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with industry platforms (e.g., BRS, Aladdin) is desirable
