About the role

Asset & Wealth Management data engineering team at J.P. Morgan builds secure, scalable data pipelines and analytics platforms. The Lead Data Engineer drives data availability for AI and analytics, designs lineage, quality controls, and metadata enrichment while collaborating with business and technology partners. Bengaluru, India, on-site (Full-time).

What you’ll do

• Maintain critical data pipelines and architectures across business functions
• Define requirements and manage product dependencies for AI and analytics initiatives
• Collaborate with partners to accelerate data provisioning and ensure governance compliance
• Develop data lineage analysis, documentation, and executive visibility dashboards
• Lead root cause analysis of data quality issues and implement evergreen controls
• Enhance metadata (semantic layer) to support AI and natural language query usage
• Utilize enterprise‑authorized AI tools to validate data engineering outputs
• Drive efficiency and risk insights through data flow consolidation and reengineering

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years data engineering experience
• Expertise in wealth and asset management data domains
• Proficiency with Python, R, SQL, Spark, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience in data lineage, metadata management, and data cataloging
• Strong data profiling and quality framework skills
• Excellent communication with executive stakeholders
• Ability to influence in matrixed environments
• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
