About the role
Data Engineering team at M&G Global Services builds and operationalizes data solutions on Azure to drive business transformation. The Lead Engineer designs and implements data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Azure SQL, migrates on‑premise warehouses to the cloud, and ensures performance and security. Leads a team of data engineers, collaborates with offshore developers, and works onsite in Pune, India.
What you’ll do
- Design and implement data ingestion and transformation pipelines
- Guide and mentor a team of data engineers
- Migrate on‑premise data warehouses to Azure Lakehouse/Datawarehouse
- Perform capacity planning and performance tuning on pipelines
- Ensure security using Azure KeyVaults and managed identities
- Collaborate with offshore development teams
- Gather business requirements and resolve queries
- Document processes and adhere to governance
