About the role

R&D Global Capability Centers (GCC) at Takeda build a globally integrated, multi‑hub R&D delivery model. The Senior Director leads GCC strategy, design, and execution, coordinating hub establishment and scaling in Bengaluru while partnering with enterprise R&D functions and the Enterprise Transformation Office. Bengaluru, hybrid work model with 30% travel.

What you’ll do

• Lead GCC strategy, vision, and roadmap
• Coordinate hub establishment and scaling activities
• Partner with enterprise teams on infrastructure, talent, and change management
• Manage cross‑functional dependencies and integration risks
• Shape leadership and talent models with HR and R&D leaders
• Promote Takeda values and inclusive R&D culture
• Oversee governance, integration, and decision rights
• Drive operational maturity across GCC hubs

What you’ll bring

• 12+ years life sciences R&D leadership
• Experience across multiple R&D functions
• Leadership in large‑scale transformation and change initiatives
• Experience with Global Capability Centers or distributed delivery models
• Exposure to hybrid or matrix operating models
• Experience with digital, data, or AI‑enabled R&D transformation
• Advanced degree in scientific, technical, or business discipline
