About the role
Retail Liability Operations team at IDFC FIRST Bank ensures seamless processing of customer requests and compliance with banking standards. The Senior Operations Specialist leads end‑to‑end transaction processing, drives process enhancements and automation, and mentors staff while coordinating with branches, risk, compliance and IT. Mumbai, On-site, 40‑hour week, relocation assistance available.
What you’ll do
- Oversee transaction processing, account management, reconciliations and customer service operations
- Ensure efficient, compliant delivery of banking services per regulatory standards
- Supervise, train and mentor operational staff
- Identify and implement process improvements, digitization and automation
- Liaise with Risk, Compliance and IT for operational alignment
- Act as Level 3 super checker for critical transactions
- Serve as subject matter expert for managed area
- Handle escalations and ensure service excellence
What you’ll bring
- 3+ years banking operations experience, preferably liability operations
- Graduate degree in any discipline
- Postgraduate degree preferred
- Strong understanding of banking operations and compliance frameworks
- Proven experience managing complex processes and digital initiatives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and mentor teams
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
