About the role
Senior Software Engineer – Backend Java Cermati, a fintech startup in Indonesia, seeks a Senior Backend Java Engineer to lead the data platform team in Bangalore. The role involves setting the technical roadmap, mentoring junior engineers, designing and coding new features, and ensuring production system reliability. Candidates must have at least six years of enterprise Java experience, deep knowledge of dependency injection, unit testing, multi‑threading, and Java best practices, as well as strong Linux system skills, SQL/PostgreSQL expertise, and familiarity with Kubernetes, GCP, and BigQuery. Experience with Apache Flink and prior work on a data platform is preferred. The position is full‑time, on‑site in Bangalore, with no remote or relocation options.

- Lead technical roadmap for data platform team
