About the role
Senior Quality Test Engineer at RELX India (Pvt) Ltd Risk division will lead automation testing for LexisNexis Risk Solutions’ identity verification platform. The role focuses on developing and executing performance and automation tests across API, app, and UI layers, ensuring high-quality software delivery. You will own test automation strategies, design and maintain automated test cases, and collaborate with engineering, product, and UX teams to validate new and existing features. Responsibilities include identifying and logging bugs, monitoring defects, and participating in daily stand‑ups and QA planning meetings. The position requires advanced programming skills in JavaScript, Appium, NodeJS, Mocha, and Webdriver.io, along with experience automating complex stateful API and UI workflows, mobile hybrid/native apps, and security vulnerability testing (OWASP top 10). Strong communication, analytical, and critical‑thinking skills are essential. The role is full‑time, based in Chennai and Mumbai with hybrid work flexibility, primarily in the AEST time zone.
What you’ll do
- Take full ownership of test automation strategies and execution, thinking like a developer to improve quality across API, app, and UI layers with engineering, product, and UX teams.
- Develop and maintain automated test cases across scenarios to ensure software quality and stability under changing conditions.
- Collaborate with QA to automate testing for new and existing platform features.
- Identify, log, and document software bugs and anomalies using bug-tracking tools for timely resolution.
- Monitor, track, and assist in troubleshooting defects with developers and stakeholders to resolve issues effectively.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and QA planning meetings to report progress, communicate risks, and align on future tasks.

- Demonstrated experience in automating complex stateful API and UI workflows is required, and must include authentication handling, session management, webhooks, and end-to-end validation.
- Must demonstrate deep understanding of how to design and execute automated tests that identify security vulnerabilities, including OWASP top 10 risks. Demonstrated knowledge of testing for and preventing exploit vectors across all application layers
- Demonstrated experience in automating complex mobile applications both Hybrid and native is required.
- Experience in using JIRA to view and update testing tickets/requirements
- Experience using Postman and Figma
- Strong analytical skills and High attention to detail to assist in documenting and solutioning technical requirements.
