About the role

State Street Corporation seeks an Investment Performance Analysis Manager in Pune to lead performance analysis and attribution for institutional investors. Day-to-day work includes reconciling and validating portfolio and benchmark performance, investigating security-level discrepancies, retrieving and uploading vendor data, and collaborating across Global Performance Measurement and Risk, Operations, and IT to resolve data issues and produce analytical reports. The role requires flexible hours to work alongside US-based colleagues and demands calm, high-quality output during quarter-end pressure.

What you’ll do

  • Perform performance analysis and attribution, including absolute and relative portfolio performance to factors such as security selection, asset allocation, and currency
  • Reconcile and update portfolio/benchmark performance and validate, identify, investigate, and resolve security-level discrepancies at transaction, position, and pricing levels in Global Performance Me
  • Retrieve, validate, and upload data from various source/vendor systems into department applications
  • Validate completeness and accuracy of data in department performance, risk, and analytics tools
  • Communicate with Global Performance Measurement and Risk, Operations, and IT staff to resolve data issues and escalate problems to appropriate groups
  • Collaborate with team members to develop, create, and validate new performance analytical reports
  • Maintain and create a best-practice process workflow environment within the team and designated projects
  • Independently troubleshoot functional and quantitative issues to ensure high-quality report production and determine when issues should be elevated to the manager

What you’ll bring

  • Postgraduate degree, preferably an MBA in Finance from a reputed institute
  • 6–8 years of post-graduation experience in any financial firm
  • Good understanding of Equity, Fixed Income, and Derivative instruments
  • Knowledge of the Investment Management industry
  • Knowledge of security analysis and portfolio management, stock exchange markets, financial markets, dividends, trading, and settlements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Basic MS Office skills
  • Strong communication skills to answer questions from performance analysts, operations associates, portfolio managers, and other users
