About the role
Fractal Analytics, a leading player in Data, Cloud, AI, and Design, seeks a Lead Consultant in Data Governance to spearhead initiatives ensuring data integrity across the enterprise. The role involves developing a comprehensive governance framework, defining policies, and establishing data lineage and metadata processes. Responsibilities include leading data quality assessments, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with GDPR and CCPA. The candidate will manage a team of governance professionals, drive metrics and KPIs, and stay abreast of emerging trends. With over 10 years of experience, a strong background in governance frameworks, project management, and stakeholder communication is essential. This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Bengaluru with additional locations in Pune, Mumbai, Gurgaon, and Noida.
What you’ll do
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework and strategy that aligns with the organization’s strategic objectives and regulatory requirements
- Define data governance policies, standards, and procedures that ensure data quality, accuracy, completeness, and consistency across the organization
- Establish and maintain data lineage, metadata management, and data dictionary processes to support data governance initiatives
- Lead data quality assessments and remediation efforts to identify and resolve data quality issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish data ownership and stewardship roles and responsibilities, and ensure compliance with data management regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA
- Develop and execute data governance metrics and KPIs to monitor and report on the effectiveness of data governance practices
- Educate and train employees on data governance policies, procedures, and best practices
- Stay up-to-date with emerging data governance trends, technologies, and practices to continuously improve data governance processes and outcomes
- Manage a team of data governance professionals and provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to ensure the success of the data governance program.
What you’ll bring
- Minimum 10 years of experience in data governance, data management, or related fields
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, practices, and technologies
- Experience developing and implementing data governance frameworks and strategies
- Strong project management skills and experience managing cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with data quality assessment and remediation processes
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, such as GDPR and CCPA, and their impact on data governance practices.
