Engineer I - Seal Technology

About the role

The Engineer I role within the Seal Technology team at TechnipFMC focuses on developing new products and industrializing existing equipment for the Seal Technology product line. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing finite element analysis, creating prototypes, conducting qualification testing, and engaging with the value stream to ensure cost-effective manufacturing. This position is based in Hyderabad, India, and operates under a Hybrid work model.

What you’ll do

• Develop new products and industrialize existing equipment
• Perform calculations and finite element analysis (FEA)
• Create prototypes throughout the design process
• Execute prototyping and final qualification testing
• Engage with the entire value stream for cost and manufacturing effectiveness
• Present to customers and multi-disciplined audiences
• Track spend, budget, and forecasted costs
• Communicate project status with supervisors and stakeholders

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or applicable discipline
• 0-2 years of related experience
• Sound understanding of engineering practices and design methods
• Knowledge of API 6A/17D preferred
• Ability to read and prepare technical designs
