Junior L2 Support Engineer – HFM (PowerShell / Azure)

About the role

Ascendion seeks a Junior L2 Support Engineer to maintain and troubleshoot HFM applications in a cloud environment. The role requires hands‑on experience with Hyperion Financial Management, PowerShell scripting, and Azure infrastructure. Responsibilities include L2 support, installation, configuration, environment setup, issue escalation, automation scripting, Azure monitoring, performance tuning, root‑cause analysis, and collaboration with L1, DevOps, and Infra teams. The engineer will support month‑end and year‑end financial cycles, maintain documentation, and ensure system availability. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills are essential.

What you’ll do

• Provide L2 support for HFM applications
• Assist installation, configuration, environment setup
• Troubleshoot issues, escalations
• Script & automate with PowerShell
• Monitor & support Azure VMs, deployments
• Ensure system performance & availability
• Perform root‑cause analysis
• Collaborate with L1, DevOps, Infra teams
• Support month‑end & year‑end cycles
• Maintain documentation & SOPs

What you’ll bring

• 3–5 yrs Application/Production/Infra Support experience
• Hands‑on HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) expertise
• PowerShell scripting proficiency
• Basic Microsoft Azure exposure
• Knowledge of financial systems & reporting workflows
• Ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira) experience
• Strong analytical & problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication & teamwork

Exposure to Oracle Hyperion Suite, cloud automation, financial app support
