Senior Engineer, Network Engineering

About the role

Ares is seeking a Senior Engineer to join its Networking team, supporting the mission of shared prosperity through robust infrastructure. The role involves software engineering, infrastructure deployment using tools like Terraform and Kubernetes, and providing L3 support for network platforms. This full-time position is based in Mumbai, India.

What you’ll do

• Perform software engineering and infrastructure deployment to support Network crew goals
• Provide L3 Support for all platforms supported by the crew
• Configure networking gear using git-based deployment pipelines
• Utilize Terraform templates and CI/CD processes for infrastructure management
• Work within Agile environments to deliver solutions
• Manage issues using Jira or similar trackers
• Collaborate with the Global Head of Infrastructure and Platform Engineering
• Maintain high-performance standards in a collaborative culture

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years experience in software engineering
• 5+ years experience working with networking platforms
• Skills in at least two major programming languages
• Experience configuring networking gear (switches/routers/firewalls)
• Cloud experience, preferably Azure
• Proficiency with Github/Gitlab, CI/CD pipelines, and Terraform
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
