Senior Systems Engineer, Network Engineering

About the role

Network Engineering Team at FactSet builds and maintains high‑performance WAN/LAN infrastructure for global financial clients. The Senior Systems Engineer designs, configures and automates Cisco/Arista routers, switches and cloud networking services, leads network projects and mentors junior engineers while providing on‑site support in Hyderabad, India (On‑site).

What you’ll do

• Consult with clients, vendors and internal teams on network solutions
• Deliver major real‑time network projects and improve stability
• Project manage network initiatives and coordinate cross‑functional efforts
• Configure routers, switches, load balancers and cloud networking services
• Serve as escalation point for network incidents and troubleshoot end‑to‑end issues
• Research and implement connections to market data providers
• Automate processes using templates, scripts and workflow tools
• Lead and mentor junior network engineers

What you’ll bring

• BS degree in engineering or equivalent
• 5-8 years relevant experience
• Proficiency in Python or Perl scripting
• Experience with Ansible or Salt automation
• Hands‑on with Cisco/Arista routers and switches
• Knowledge of BGP, EIGRP, multicast protocols
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud networking
• Strong communication and stakeholder management
