About the role

Engineering team at QAD building the next‑generation adaptive enterprise platform that powers intelligent manufacturing. The Senior Principal Software Engineer designs, implements and leads scalable cloud‑native web applications, mentors junior engineers and drives performance and scalability across frontend and backend services. Based in Pune with 3‑4 days onsite per week, the role offers structured mentorship and an inclusive culture.

What you’ll do

• Design and implement scalable web application features end‑to‑end
• Debug and resolve complex performance issues across the stack
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Lead cross‑team code reviews and set quality standards
• Optimize code and architecture for performance and scalability
• Collaborate with product, QA and DevOps to deliver enterprise SaaS solutions
• Drive adoption of cloud‑native and microservice patterns
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy

What you’ll bring

• 12+ years software development
• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field
• Expertise in Java, JavaScript/Node.js or Python
• Strong OOP and data structures knowledge
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices
• Proficiency with Git version control
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases
• Ability to mentor and lead technical teams
