About the role

Information Security Engineering team at Wells Fargo leads the Security Baseline Configuration program, building and maintaining secure baseline standards across platforms. The Lead Information Security Engineer defines strategy, designs automation frameworks, and drives validation/attestation for baseline compliance while leveraging AI responsibly. Hyderabad, India, on-site role focusing on incident response, risk assessment, and cross‑team collaboration.

What you’ll do

  • Lead computer security incident response for complex events
  • Conduct technical investigations and digital forensics of security incidents
  • Provide security consulting on large projects to ensure policy and standards compliance
  • Design, document, test, and maintain security solutions across networking, cloud, authentication, and endpoint security
  • Review and correlate security logs and implement risk management practices
  • Identify vulnerabilities, perform risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives
  • Collaborate with managers and influence stakeholders across the organization
  • Lead a team to achieve baseline strategy and automation objectives

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant Technology/Security discipline
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCSP, CCSK, CRISC
  • Expertise in security baseline configurations/hardening (CIS Benchmarks)
  • Proficiency in scripting/automation languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash, C#, Java)
  • Understanding of AI practical use cases and secure usage
  • Server OS fundamentals (Windows/Linux)
  • Network/Firewall concepts and encryption fundamentals
