About the role

EXL seeks a Lead Assistant Manager for Application Development focused on backend solutions. The role centers on designing, building, and optimizing business process workflows using Camunda BPM, BPMN, DMN, and CMMN. Candidates will leverage Java, Spring Boot, or Node.js to implement service tasks, integrate with REST APIs, Kafka, and RabbitMQ, and deploy solutions on Docker/Kubernetes across AWS, Azure, or GCP. The position requires strong low‑code/no‑code platform experience (Mendix, OutSystems, Power Apps) and a deep understanding of microservices architecture, enterprise security, and compliance. Working in a global Agile team, the Lead will mentor junior developers, ensure high performance and scalability, and align process designs with business goals. The role is hybrid, based in Pune with flexibility for other Indian cities.
