Import Operations Executive, US Imports

About the role

Import Operations Executive on Tricon Energy's Global Trade team, responsible for managing US PET resin import operations. The role coordinates suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of international shipments, handling documentation, ISF filing and customs clearance. Based in Mumbai with a night shift (7 p.m to 4 a.m) onsite, the position offers exposure to ocean logistics and commodity trade.

What you’ll do

• Manage end-to-end US import operations for PET resin shipments
• Coordinate ocean shipments, vessel tracking and status updates
• Prepare and maintain import documentation including invoices, packing lists, B/Ls, COAs, certificates
• Handle ISF filing and work with customs brokers for clearance
• Monitor container movement, port arrivals, delivery schedules, demurrage and detention risks
• Collaborate with freight forwarders, carriers, warehouses and trucking providers
• Maintain import tracking reports and provide timely updates to internal teams
• Support issue resolution related to delays, documentation and customs requirements

What you’ll bring

• 2-5 years import operations or ocean logistics experience
• US import and customs clearance knowledge
• Familiarity with ISF filing and import documentation
• Experience with polymers, plastics or chemicals preferred
• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
