Engineer I - Seal Technology

About the role

The Engineer I role within the Seal Technology team at TechnipFMC focuses on defining and executing engineering solutions for product development and industrialization. Day-to-day duties include performing finite element analysis, creating prototypes, conducting qualification testing, and presenting to customers while managing project budgets and schedules. This position is located in Hyderabad, India, and operates under a Hybrid work model.

What you’ll do

• Develop new products and industrialize existing equipment for the Seal Technology product line
• Perform calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) to support design work
• Create prototypes of new products throughout the design process
• Execute prototyping and final qualification testing in a shop/lab environment
• Present to customers and multi-disciplined audiences
• Track spend, budget, and forecasted costs for personal projects
• Engage with the entire value stream to ensure effective cost and manufacturing operations
• Communicate project status and decisions with supervisors and stakeholders

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or applicable discipline
• 0-2 years of related experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of API 6A/17D standards
• Ability to perform calculations and finite element analysis (FEA)
• Strong presentation and coaching skills
• Customer-oriented mindset with collaborative teamwork abilities
