Senior Data Analyst - SAP

About the role

YASH Technologies is seeking a Senior Data Analyst specializing in SAP Data & Analytics solutions to analyze, manage, and interpret data within SAP systems for business decision support. The role covers the full data lifecycle—from discovery and planning to post-go-live support—including data extraction, ETL, cleansing, validation, and reporting, often adapting standard migration objects or building custom ones. The position works within virtual, culturally diverse teams alongside internal colleagues and partners, based in Pune, India, with up to 25% travel (domestic and international) and weekend/overtime work as needed.

What you’ll do

• Define scope, timelines, resources, and migration approaches for data conversions.
• Extract and analyze source data for quality, completeness, and map to target structures from ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, Salesforce, ModelN).
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL); create and optimize dataflows, workflows, and data extraction from CDS Views and Datasphere.
• Perform data cleansing, transformation, and quality checks—identifying and correcting inaccurate, incomplete, or duplicate data and standardizing formats.
• Participate in root cause analysis of business problems, identify and recommend solution alternatives, and develop reports to track key metrics and results.
• Verify the integrity and accuracy of deployment/migrated data.
• Collaborate with IT and functional teams to improve data structures.
• Manage the entire lifecycle from discovery and planning to post-go-live support, adapting standard migration objects or creating custom ones for unique business needs.

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Data & Analytics solutions, including SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), SAP BW, SAP BW/4HANA, and SAP Datasphere.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience designing, building, and supporting end-to-end BI and analytics solutions from data ingestion and modeling to reporting and insights delivery.
• Expertise in ETL processes and data transformation methodologies.
• Design and development of CDS Views, BODS data flows, and data virtualization layers for analytics enablement (SAP BDC, SAC, BODS).
• Experience working on Agile development teams and projects.
• Knowledge of ERP data models and modern analytics/data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Fabric, Power BI, Purview, Copilot, Python, SQL, Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, BigQuery) and machine learn
• Familiarity with various SAP modules (e.g., FICO, Supply Chain & Logistics, Production and Manufacturing, SuccessFactors).
• Ability to extract and analyze source data for quality, completeness, and mapping to target structures from ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, Salesforce, ModelN).
