About the role

Weekday AI Client's hardware team builds high‑performance power conversion solutions for diverse applications. The Power Electronics Design Engineer designs AC‑DC and DC‑DC SMPS, develops converter topologies, conducts electrical and thermal analysis, and ensures reliability through testing and validation. Bengaluru, on-site role with hybrid collaboration across hardware, testing, and product teams.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop AC‑DC and DC‑DC switch‑mode power supplies
• Create and optimize converter topologies for various voltage ranges
• Perform detailed electrical and thermal simulations and calculations
• Conduct reliability and failure analysis including DFMEA and FMECA
• Collaborate with hardware, testing, manufacturing, and product teams
• Support prototype bring‑up, debugging, and validation
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations

What you’ll bring

• 3+ years experience in power electronics design
• Hands‑on development of AC‑DC and DC‑DC SMPS
• Experience with Flyback, Forward, Half‑Bridge, Full‑Bridge, Push‑Pull topologies
• High‑voltage/high‑power design expertise
• Component selection including MOSFETs, PWM controllers, capacitors
• Proficiency with OrCAD Capture or similar EDA tools
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills
