Lead Cloud Security Engineer

About the role

Sutherland seeks a Lead Cloud Security Engineer to govern security controls across multi-cloud environments including Azure, OCI, AWS, and GCP. The role focuses on cloud security architecture, compliance, threat management, and continuous improvement of the organization's cloud security posture. This position is based in Hyderabad, TS, India.

What you’ll do

• Design and govern secure, scalable cloud architectures and policies across multi-cloud environments
• Own and enhance the Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) program
• Perform threat modeling, security architecture reviews, and risk assessments
• Implement and manage cloud security controls including IAM, MFA, PAM, SSO, and Zero Trust
• Monitor cloud environments for threats, vulnerabilities, and misconfigurations
• Investigate and respond to cloud security incidents and support forensic investigations
• Analyze logs from cloud-native services such as Defender for Cloud and AWS CloudTrail
• Provide technical leadership and mentor security engineers

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years of experience in Information Security
• At least 5+ years in Cloud Security implementation
• Strong hands-on experience securing Azure, OCI, AWS, and GCP environments
• Expertise in IAM, CSPM, CWPP, SIEM, and Zero Trust
• Experience with threat modeling and incident response
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Benchmarks, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, and GDPR
