Application & Cloud Security Lead

About the role

Energy Division BISO team at S&P Global leads security across applications, cloud and AI-enabled environments, embedding security into architecture and operations. The role conducts security architecture reviews, enforces application and cloud security controls, and oversees AI security risk assessments while partnering with engineering, product and risk stakeholders. Hyderabad, Gurugram, and Mumbai locations, on-site work model with relocation assistance available.

What you’ll do

• Lead and coordinate security initiatives across applications, cloud and AI platforms
• Conduct security architecture reviews and recommend secure design improvements
• Embed security requirements into solution design, development and deployment
• Enforce application security controls and manage software supply chain risks
• Oversee cloud security controls including IAM, encryption, logging and workload protection
• Assess AI/ML use cases for security risks and guide mitigation strategies
• Track and drive remediation of security findings and risk acceptances
• Develop metrics, dashboards and executive reporting on security posture

What you’ll bring

• 5-8+ years cybersecurity experience
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT or related field
• Experience with application, cloud and AI security architecture reviews
• Hands‑on with DevSecOps, CI/CD, container and IaC security tools
• Proficient in AWS, Azure or GCP security services
• Familiar with AI security concepts like prompt injection and model risk
• Strong communication skills for technical and non‑technical audiences
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, SABSA, CCSK or cloud security certifications
