About the role
Space Surveillance and Intelligence team at Digantara develops end‑to‑end satellite situational awareness solutions. The Avionics Systems Engineer will define and manage requirements, conduct trade‑off studies, create system documentation, and lead verification activities for flight‑critical avionics subsystems. Bengaluru, Karnataka, India – on‑site role with occasional travel.
What you’ll do
- Define, document, and manage system requirements throughout product life cycle
- Plan, configure, and allocate requirements to subsystems ensuring traceability
- Perform system‑level trade‑off studies to optimize performance, reliability, and cost
- Develop and maintain system‑level specifications, interface control documents, and design descriptions
- Conduct verification and validation activities to meet customer and industry standards
- Develop risk mitigation plans and monitor implementation
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement to capture needs and expectations
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences
What you’ll bring
- Bachelors or Masters in relevant engineering field
- 4+ years professional experience in space industry
- In‑depth knowledge of avionics architecture
- Proven project management experience
- End‑to‑end design or integration experience in avionics
Nice to have
- Experience with SysML and ECSS standards
- Professional certification in Systems Engineering (e.g., INCOSE)
